Brandon Barnett

Brandon Barnett has spent his career experimenting with strategies to achieve new growth businesses: inventing new technologies, incubating new businesses, and most recently researching fundamentals of new market landscapes. Currently, as Director of Business Innovation in Intel Labs, Brandon is focused on executing research programs in the area of business analytics and external incubation. He combines complex systems theories with ethnographic research, business theory, and predictive markets to develop data-based business frameworks that point to new bases of competition in emerging market landscapes.
Brandon holds an MBA from the Oregon Executive MBA program, a PhD & MS in Applied Physics from the University of Michigan, and Sc.B. in Electrical engineering from Brown University. Brandon currently lives in Oregon with his wife Cindy and triplet boys. He dedicates some of his time to time to helping soldiers and veterans receive training for career transition back to the civilian workforce and founded Intel’s Hire-A-Hero program. He is a member of the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute Commercialization Advisory Council and is a founder of NorthShore Bio, a silicon-based sequencing, measurement, and data management company.
